“Extensive damage was caused to the front and rear nearside doors, and the quality of his craftsmanship was excellent. Mr Smith was selected because four years previously I commissioned him to repair my own private vehicle, and I was very impressed with the high quality of workmanship and the attention to detail, resulting in an excellent finished product. Mr Smith has always been exceptionally reliable, totally trustworthy, and I would certainly call upon his services again if required.”

“Dear Tom, Just a short line to let you know that I arrived here safely with no further mishaps, save for a broken fan belt. Fortunately I was carrying a spare one so this was not a major problem. Thank you very much for your excellent diagnosis and all your help. The oil is still pouring out somewhere as I am driving along unless it is burning it but surely I would see plenty of blue smoke is this were the case. It does drip when you stop this I am sure is oil that has been thrown onto the outside of the engine dripping off. I don’t suppose you will forget your encounters with the terrible red Sunbeam but I enclose a photo for the workshop wall. All the very best!”

“Dear Tom, I am so pleased to hear that you are compiling a portfolio for your business. In the past you have renovated vehicles for me and I have been so pleased with the workmanship you provide. I would certainly have no hesitation in recommending your services. I would like to wish you every success in your business which you take so much pride in.”

“Three years ago, I had cause to send my company car, a Mercedes 190 E, to Tom Lubbock Smith for extensive repairs following a collision. The damage was to one side and the front, it required significant reforming of the panels and also a colour match of metallic blue black. Estimates for the repair work were obtained from three repair centres in the Basingstoke area and the one we decided to use, Tom Lubbock Smith, was competitive and selected on this basis. The quality of work was to a standard that satisfied me, with no signs of the damage on close inspection and the form of the panels appearing as new. Also, the colour matching, which could have been quite tricky was in fact perfect. Today, three years later, my father in law who purchased the car from Eli Lully and Company, my employer, assures me that there has been no sign of degradation and there is no evidence of where the repairs had been made which is testament to the quality and durability of the quality of Mr Lubbock Smith’s workmanship. I am very willing to provide further endorsement based on this experience if it is required.”
